It's a debate which has been raging between car enthusiasts for decades – what is the best driving road in the world? We decided to create the Avis Driving Ratio (ADR) to categorically answer the question, once and for all.Using our ADR – created with the help of renowned experts in science, track design, and even rollercoasters – we picked 25 of the most famed drives in the world, and put them head to head. From stunning locations, to hairpin bends, we've crossed every continent to rank the very best driving roads from across the globe.
The science
How can science really determine the best driving road in the world? Would it require lots of tight bends, the freedom to accelerate on a long straight - or is it the scenery, experience and emotion that makes the ultimate drive?To tackle this quandary, we used the Avis Driving Ratio (ADR). Our scientific formula takes all the relevant variables into account - and means we can finally conquer the World's Best Driving Road debate.

No, it's not the latest Hollywood summer blockbuster - but we have forged our own World's Best Driving Road version of The Avengers to provide all the necessary analysis.Extensive testing was undertaken to combine racing engineering and track design expertise, with general relativity and quantum theory academia.
