Should you need to cancel a booking, your refund will be processed in full immediately and should reach your account within 7 working days.

Our flexible cancellation policy breaks down like this:

• Free cancellation and full refunds on Pay Online (prepaid) bookings up to 48 hours before the day your rental was due to begin
• If you have to cancel less than 48 hours before the day your rental was due to start, you'll receive a full refund minus the lower of i) 2 days of your booking, or ii) a fixed fee depending on the country you booked in (£60, €65, CHF76)
• You can cancel Pay on Collection (pay later) bookings up to the time your rental was due to begin without penalty
• No refund is provided in the case of no-shows and a fee may apply.

In the UK, you need to be at least 23 and have held a driving licence for a minimum of a year. Outside the UK, the minimum age varies. If you’re under 25, you’ll need to pay an extra fee per day (called a Young Driver’s Surcharge). The law and insurance terms vary between countries, so the amount depends on where you hire.

If you’re under 25 you can hire cars from Group A (Fiat 500 or similar), Group B (VW Polo or similar), Group C (Vauxhall Crossland or similar), Group E (SEAT Arona or similar) and Group I (MG ZS or similar).

Across the UK until the end of August demand is very high, so we recommend you book now to avoid disappointment and ensuring you can search the widest range of vehicles available to you.

Whether you choose to Pay Online or Pay on Collection, if your plans change, you can always cancel fee-free and get a full cash refund 48hrs before the day your rental was due to begin.

You and any additional drivers must have held a driving licence for a year. Please bring your licence(s) to vehicle collection. Bring your international driving licence or a notarised English translation if:

• You’re renting outside of Europe and your driving licence was issued in Europe.
• Your licence was issued in a non-European country and you’re renting outside that country.
• Your licence was issued in a non-roman alphabet like Arabic, Greek, Russian, Hebrew or Japanese.

You must also bring ID:

• The payment card used to make the booking. Some vehicles require an additional card in your name.
• Photo ID taken within the last 10yrs. Passport, driving licence, national identity card or any other form of government-issued ID with a photo is accepted.
• You may need to bring proof of address. This could be a recent utility bill or bank statement. Your driving licence won’t be accepted as proof of address.

You’ve already got your ID, driver’s licence and credit card. Then finally, if you’re a UK licence holder, you must bring a DVLA licence code to collect your rental. How to obtain this code and answers to any other questions you might have can be found on our FAQs.

The price depends on vehicle size, model, availability and location. The easiest way to get a quote is via our website, or you can call our reservation centre.

Third party cover is automatically included in your rental. Should you damage another vehicle or passengers and their property, you won’t pay for repairs or injuries. However, if you have an accident or the car is stolen, you’ll need to pay a fixed excess fee for the damage on your rental car. The amount depends on the vehicle hired and in which country you hired it. For complete peace of mind, add either Vehicle Cover or Vehicle Cover Plus to your booking to reduce or remove the excess completely.

When you choose our Vehicle Cover package it will either reduce or remove the excess for damage or theft, depending on which car you choose. Whereas if you pick Vehicle Cover Plus, it will have the same excess reduction benefits whilst also including enhanced Roadside Assistance. This could help with any mishaps like flat batteries or locked-in keys.

You can use either a credit or debit card. Simply enter your details when booking online or provide them to a call centre agent.
