What are the age requirements for renting a car in Oregon?
The minimum age to rent a car with Avis in Oregon and the rest of the US is 21 - with the exception of New York State and Michigan where the minimum age is 18. However, depending on your age and/or the age of any other additional driver, at the time of taking over (under 21; between 21 and 25) we charge a supplement and restrict access to certain car groups for drivers under 25. There is currently no maximum age for hiring a rental car, so long as you have had a full, valid, licence for at least 1 year. Some additional steps may be required for those who are over the age of 70 on the date of the scheduled return.
